If you think you’ve met good people here on earth,
Then, am sure you’re wrong, wait until you meet my father, Stephen Musau Nthuli, you’ll have to reconsider,
Let me introduce you to the most adored school headmaster i know, Mr. Stephen Nthuli…,
He’s a middle-sized, soft-spoken man who up to today, walks upright even in his early sixties,

You’ll will find my father glued to his rectangular shaped 15 inch telly at nine in the pm,
Watching as well as listening to his “fellow learned friends” from the fourth estate, media,
If you want to make my father a friend, carry with you a big book,
He’s a big fan of literature, something i can feel disturbing my innermost soul,
Father would narrate his life story as we crossed our tiny legs near the fire place,
How our grandpa passed away and there was no one left to cater for his family,
The first born, aunt Ukulu as we used to call her, got married when poverty stroke our papi’s house,
Grandma, still shocked she turned to Idolise the ancient mountain gods,
Daddy having a vibrant personality, with the faith of the biblical G.O.A.T Abraham,
He stepped up, folded his sleeves and took the responsibility of a family kinsfolk,
A few months later, God opened a way, he joined a native teaching college,
Just like the African proverb, “The chicken that plays around the legs of the mother always gets worms to eat. “….
He was pretty sure that his father who liveth above the heavens shall provide,
He used to speak of the supremacy of God every minute of his life,
When we were young, he used to call other kinsmen for a tummy-cracking feast!
Daddy please, receive my unfeigned greetings from the land of Mumbi, the woman warrior,… Kiambu.
