WHY IT’S NEVER SAFE TO BE BORN IN AFRICA!

Life in Africa can only be compared with a football match between a bullet-less Arsenal and ofcourse a bigger team like the real giant of Madrid,
Even before the players start blinking well, just as they are adapting to the cold climate of the Spanish capital, the game is already one-nil,
When Xhaka is about to break the Granite wall to equalise, he loses the ball to a supersonic Hazard, who throbs the heart of London one more time,
The referee points at the middle of the field, where Uber-meyang’ will try to press but loses it to Ramos who rings the bell to Bale hence three-nil on half-time.

This is exactly what happens in Africa when a child is born in a poor family, the baby is inflicted with pain by a powerful slap from the mid wife to test his crying tone,
Even before the baby learns how to suckle her mother’s breast, he’s reminded of the thorns he will walk on throughout his life,
Immediately after he learns how to eat beans and can now walk upright, alone, he’s thrown out of his mother’s bedroom to hustle like his fellow adults,
The battle is on, the struggle to find a better education, the fight not to walk on bare feet, the tussle to find a good meal becomes a mayhem,

Some of us went to school to get good grades inorder to find a better job in future, others had a dream to become pilots, doctors, engineers,
Our peers also did top in class bearing in mind that someday they surely will successfully separate twins in the theatre,
Others were perfect drawers who grew up visualising on how they would become architects, how they would just draw buildings and make money,
Some were perfect Orators and influential in drama festivals, hoping someday they would anchor prime time news in one of the top notch broadcasters,

Unfortunately things took a wrong turn a decade ago, on a yearly basis, colleges and universities are crowning graduands,
But once they step outside here with the spirit of securing their dream jobs, things turn sour, the gates are closed,
An employer will publish a job vacancy on national newspaper, thousands of young job seekers will dive into it, shouting why they desperately need that job,
More than three interviews are done but eventually the HR will receive an email from her boss, that his son will report to job the following day.
