Kenya’s Darkest Moments

Garissa University Terrorist Attack

I come from a country of hard hearted people, a nation of black intellectuals, men and women who knows no defeat!
A country of mighty men of war, scaling back in the 1960’s, our stone-hearted forefathers fought tooth and nail, through blood and sweat until they regained back their land from the white butterfly,
We are a black nation that has gone through toil, pain and torture but no fear nor retreat was found in our DNA, they fought us with giant fire arms but we used bows, arrows and spears and we successfully drove them away, back to where they belong!
They raped our daughters, wives and robbed us of our mascular sons, they butchered some of them who went contrary to their commands,

We’ve been slaughtered, brutally murdered and tortured by armed terrorists who stealthily sneak into our bedrooms and hold us hostage,
The horrifying days and nights when we suffered in the hands of our enemy; on 23rd of September 2013, four gunmen stormed into West Gate Mall and sprayed bullets into the flesh of innocent Kenyans, claiming the lives of 71 people!
That wasn’t enough, yet another night of grief came upon our firmament, 147 students of Garissa University in Northern Kenya were killed by Alshabaab militia, bruising our nation massively!
To mention but a few, these are gruesome days and nights the my countrymen have gone through but we’ve managed to keep our heads high,

My country is Kenya, even as we mourn, there’s something we can’t fail to mention, our able men from the great of Rift Valley, who through sweat and determination, have managed to lift our flag high in foreign lands,
These worriors have inscribed history that can never be rubbed off by cowards! But only noble sons with abnormal DNAs can brace up for the deadly challenge,
We’ve raised a generation of daring souls, an instinct to break all barriers of progress, as you all know of our very own Eliud Kipchoge, the great marathoner who still remains a GOAT in history books,
Recording a time of 1:59:40 in a 42 km challenge that took place in Vienna, Austria in October 2019 bringing to life a powerful slogan, “no human is limited“, So Long Live Kenya, My Mother Land! Amen. 🙏🏽

Below are some of the pictures from the Al Shabaab Attacks, take a moment to mourn with us,….

Wow, truly informative, inspiring and hopeful.
Africa is blessed. The people don’t give up. They continue to strive, fight, struggle and keep rising from the ashes of oppression, suppression, repression, depression, neo colonialism, internal conflict, and everything else.
Only a people with resilience and audacious hope can survive all they’ve been made to go through and still being to experience.
    Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
