It is almost midnight, still waiting upon the angel of sleep,
I’m rolling over my white bed sheets like a blissful dolphin,
I double tap my phone’s gallery, to dust the old picture shelf,
A few screenshots i had captured on social media,

Her face was brighter than her skin complection, so gorgeous!
She reminded me of last year’s christmas celebration,
Behold, the skies were glittering with love,
The stars were rejoicing upon the bearing of the son of man,

Her beautiful smile blended well with the creamy walls,
I stared at her picture for hours, and she was so calm,
After several years of despising love, in a dry land,
That was the first time i disagreed with my inner conscience,

The wise men once said that the longer you wait for something,
The more you’ll treasure it when you get hold of it,
We had a late night chit-chat, she sounded like an angel from disney land,
Maybe she’s heaven sent, perhaps, a gift from the skies?
