Restore the dignity of an African man,
The most underrated parental figure to ever exist,
His crafty hands when trouble beckons will quench your thirst,
These are tough skin warriors of our black continent,

They fight tooth to nail for our comfy stay,
Grinding tirelessly in the woods for our daily bread,
We push piles of heavy bills on their tables,
Causing sleepless nights to our old boys,

Father used to sit us around the fire at night,
His deep voice would turn a lullaby in a few seconds,
So long as he was around i knew we were safe,
He would carry our sleepy heads to bed one by one,

Come rain come shine we glorify our mums,
But we forget these worriors behind our families,
Who at one time paid herds of cattle as dowry,
That’s why i refer to them as ‘the uncelebrated African knights!’
