Despite the harsh climatic conditions, Kalahari is home of wildlife inclusive of wildebeests, springboks, kudu and the brown hyaena,
Not to forget prey eating birds like the martial eagle, giant eagle owl and also falcons,
A variety of reptiles also dwell upon the desert including Cape cobras, puff adders and lizards,
Lest we forget the amphibians who are also able to survive here, the bush veld rain frog and the tremolo sand frog.

Mystery of The African Owl.
I grew up knowing that the African owl was a brother to Lucifer, a symbol of bad omen,
Since i was living with my grandma, i discovered her strong hate against African owls,
She used to warn me not to go idling in the bushes alone, lest i find the bowmen,
She even bought me an ancient chart of birds, showing all species from sunbirds to fowls,

Take me to the banks of Luangwa river, i want to bond with the crocodiles,
Let me lie down on the soft grass, and watch the sun as it illuminates the world,
Allow me to observe the hippos as they graze, are they jews or gentiles?

He used to slay any warm blooded bird from the beak family,
Inconsiderate of their age, colour nor their state of life at home,
Mathinza as his name insinuated, he unsparingly crushed their abdomens to death,
His numerous arrows were more sharper than a brand new razor blade,
Inside the Nairobi Metropolitan Area.
The word Nairobi originated from the Maasai community,
“Enkare Nyrobi” which translates to cold water refering to the Nairobi river,
That’s why the Morans are free to feed their cattle at the navel of the city,
