Good afternoon my fellow descendants from the great lineage of Abraham, the father of faith, it’s been a while since we talked about matters of the heart, shall we?
My love life is like a movie series made by the great minds from the “Holly-Woods, or a documentary made by someone living on the shores of Luangwa river of Zambia, where crocodiles feast on living things,
Beauty, character and Intelligence were my perfect attributes as I went on searching for a mate back then, I wanted to be proud of her, as I walk beside her in public places,
I wanted to be a proud man as I introduce her to my close friends, it is never easy to say you love them, if you don’t really love them!
My first girl to set my eyes on was a curvy high school beauty, with a pretty face and a very sweet voice; actually she was the most beautiful girl in the whole school,
I was competing against great people for that rightful signature, from the godfather himself to the ones on training, they all came guns blazing,
But I still managed to win her heart, all those big boys had to be turned down for me, that’s why I would never want to lose that character again,
I used to believe that I deserve everything that is fine under the sun, from good food to fine babes, I never wanted to settle for less!
I was a dancehall musician by the way, I know most of you have giggled after hearing the news but it’s true, I tried,
Since I had descended from a boyschool to a blended gender school, Life was different, I made friends, guardians, enemies, cos what is life without opposition? Anyway,
Then I met this guy who was really talented, a rapper from my local town, his stage name was Frazy, he was a giant for sure, though I don’t know where he went after we finished school,
There’s a man who made my high school days feel like heaven on earth, his name was Mr. Mwongela of English and Literature, he wasn’t that long enough but he was long enough to teach English,
He was my favourite teacher in highschool, I guess that’s why up to today I still love literature, it has always been in my heart,
He used to allow me to give directions on poetry, in a class of genius people, the likes of Alex Kasio, my high school friend who emerged first in our school that special year,
Thank you Sir, thank you for giving me something greater than money, something valuable like gold, how would life be without you teachers, anyway? 🤷🏾♂️
