It’s just thirty one minutes past midnight,
I’m lying on my wooden bed holding my black sleek phone,
My eyes are sagging, almost giving up to sleep,
But i remember i have to baby sit my growing infant (my blog),
Since the lights are off, silent tears ooze out of my sockets,
I decide to lock my screen for a moment, for the sake of my meditation,
Cree cree, i can hear crickets stridulating from their little holes outside,
The birds are asleep, they’re inside their nests snoring their lungs out,
A land so peaceful, even our gatekeeper is sailing in a world of slumber,
Tonight, my ever noisy neighbour decided to switch off his music,
Tomorrow is another day at the white man’s firm,
So let me take a nap too, I’m sure it’s good for my health.
