When Legends Fall, We All Get Old

The world is like a busy highway, all of us are passersby, whether you’re riding on a Bentley or walking on foot,
Even if you’re on full tank, you will eventually pull over at a gas station to feed your bowls,
By the time you resume, you will definitely get run over by younger riders,
The night shall come knocking and everyone shall be forced to exit the highway to take a nap,

Last night I was watching footages of one of the greatest Boxers in history of mankind, Mr. Mike Iron Tyson,
How he swiftly rose to fame in the early 90’s, crushing everyone who stood to challenge him,
More than forty knockouts in professional boxing, raising the bar too high for upcoming fighters,
His name was written in history books, in bold, for millions of generations to read about him, a true legend indeed,

Then it came a moment in 1997, in a match nicknamed “the sound and fury” when he fought against Evander Holyfield,
When the fight became tough on him, he bit his opponent’s ear twice, Mike was disqualified and Holyfield won the fight for the second time,
In another fight in 2004 Tyson took another challenge against one Danny Williams, age was already catching up with him, his face had wrinkles all over,
I had never seen Mike this desperate, in the fourth round Williams sent him to the ground, with blood all over his eyes, it broke my heart!

I learnt that no one stays young forever, we’re humans, we’re made of dust, our skin dehydrates daily,
Time changes almost everything, not even a male lion can dominate the jungle for more than a decade, youthful boys will overthrow him, by the time he’s seven!
On your way up the ladder, remember to greet people; you might need them when you’re sliding down,
The scripture says that we were all made from dust, and to dust we shall return! Stay humble, help where you can, in this world we are all passersby!
